Amanda Moira Pillsbury is a prosecutor with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Pillsbury is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court. She has over 12 years of experience handling both criminal and civil matters.
As a prosecutor, she has worked in felony trial courtrooms in courthouses throughout the county and litigated hundreds of felony bench trials and almost 20 felony juries. She started her career enforcing child support enforcement laws for the Department of Healthcare and Family Services, then moved on to Juvenile Court, working both the child protection and delinquency sides. After that, she spent time in felony review, preliminary hearings, grand jury, Branch 66: Homicide and Sex unit, Sex Crimes--prosecuting internet crimes against children, and then into a felony courtroom, prosecuting cases from theft to murder.
